You want to know what is going on, and whether you can help, without chasing anyone. Toldie asks the founder every week so you do not have to.

- Your cadence, your choice. Weekly as it happens, or one combined update a month or a quarter. Change it any time from the link at the bottom of every email, and tap whether an update was useful; the founder sees your answer.
- Stay on the list without replying. Opening the founder's updates is how you stay on the list, with no reply needed, and anyone who stops opening may be taken off, so nobody has to write a goodbye. If your mail app shows images, the founder sees when you open one, and each time you open it again. You can turn opens off in your settings; if your mail app blocks images, do, and you're never counted as not opening.
- The founder's words, the material fact first. Short, plain text that gets read on a phone. No fluff, no invented numbers, nothing the founder did not approve.
- You never chase, and you never feel like the one who chases. When a founder goes quiet, Toldie tells you it is asking every week, and brings you the reason when it comes.
- Ask once a month. Reply to any update with a question. Toldie bundles what investors are asking and the founder answers once, for everyone.
- Help when you can. "I can introduce them to the restaurant, I am free Monday." Reply, and it reaches the founder directly with your address on it.
- Know who you are hearing from. Before you subscribe you see the founder's exact address, and whether Toldie could confirm the domain is really the company's. If it is not the founder you know, do not confirm; and any update carries a one-click report that pauses the sender.
- Prove your fund once. Add one DNS record at toldie.com/claim and every founder whose updates you ask for sees "verified: yourfund.com" on the request.
- Free for you. Funds and accelerators will be able to pay for a portfolio view later. Reading updates never costs anything.

You do not need a founder to send you a link first. Name them here and Toldie invites each one from you. The day a founder signs up, Toldie asks them to approve you, and once they do you hear from them as often as you chose.
