For fund managers

Update your limited partners in one sentence a week.

You want your week for the portfolio. Your limited partners want to know what is going on between reports, and whether they can help. Toldie sits in the middle so you never write an LP update again.

  • One sentence a week. Toldie emails you a question on Friday. You reply from your phone: a new investment, a follow-on, news from the portfolio. That is the whole job, under 90 seconds.
  • It makes the update better, not just easier. Your news stated as the outcome it is, hedges removed, and the one or two questions an LP would ask next, before they ask.
  • Nothing invented, nothing sent without you. The draft can only contain numbers you typed: no return or multiple you did not write. You approve every limited partner and every update. Reply "send", or say what to change.
  • Never one to one. LP questions come to Toldie, not your inbox. It keeps the ones most of your LPs are asking and you answer once, for all of them.
  • Expectations, managed. When you go quiet, Toldie tells your limited partners it is asking you every week (weekly readers after two quiet weeks, the rest at the end of a period of theirs with nothing in it), and brings them your news when it comes. They stop chasing you, and you get support instead of pressure.
  • Their cadence, not yours. Each LP picks weekly, every two weeks, monthly or quarterly. Quarterly readers get one combined update when the quarter ends, made from the updates you already approved.
  • Nobody can pretend to be you. Your LPs see your exact address, Toldie checks your firm's domain and tells them what it found, and one DNS record proves it outright. Your own funds can share the domain, each with its own list; a sign-up on it from anyone else waits until you say they are a teammate.
  • Know who reads, without asking. Toldie shows you which limited partners open each update, when, and how many times, so you know who reads without anyone replying. LPs who stop opening are listed for you, and come off with one tap and no awkward email: the updates themselves tell them that opening is how they stay on the list. Raising your next fund? The LPs who open most are the ones to call. Any LP can turn this off, and you then see only that they don't share opens.
  • Your list, and a line about confidentiality. Toldie sends updates only to the limited partners you add or approve, and each update's link can be forwarded by whoever holds it, so every LP update says it is confidential to your limited partners, to be forwarded only as your fund's agreements allow. No feed.

For funds and accelerators

Every founder in your portfolio, updating investors in 90 seconds a week.

Paste your founders' emails once. Each gets a personal invite naming your fund. When one signs up, Toldie asks them to approve you, as it does for every investor who asks; once they do, you get their updates monthly, and can switch to weekly, every two weeks or quarterly at any time.

One per line, up to 100. Optional name before the email: "Maya, maya@northwind.co".

Founders can ignore the invite. Nothing is sent to anyone without their own sign-up and confirmation.

Toldie bullies founders and fund managers into updating their investors. Without wasting their time.
